Sam’s best friend gets her first boyfriend and to avoid watching the two of them be all lovey dovey all summer, Sam applies to be a CIT (counselor in training) at Whispering Pines, a summer camp. Yeah yeah I know…don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I love this cover and it’s one of reasons why I read it. So let the reviews begin:įirst off, if the cover of this book doesn’t grab your attention and make you want to read it then you’re crazy. I read SAG a few years ago and absolutely loved it! When starting to read SSOM, there were references made to events and characters from SAG, so I decided to reread it and then start Summer State of Mind right after. In my personal opinion, would read Sleepaway Girls first. The reason I am doing this is because SSOM (Summer State of Mind) is a companion novel to SAG (Sleepaway Girls). I’m going to be reviewing both Sleepaway Girls and Summer State of Mind together.
